The Bard Global Degree creates a dynamic relationship where partner institutions learn from and with each other. Our partners are leading academic institutions and learning communities with a shared commitment to the liberal arts and sciences and academic freedom. Additionally, what these partners have in common is the necessity of operating in exile, as political crises and conflicts have made traditional classroom learning infeasible or dangerous.

AFSO is a volunteer nonprofit organization committed to helping return Afghan women to intellectual and professional life by way of real-time, synchronous distance learning in the liberal arts and sciences, engineering, and health sciences, taught by university professors from around the world. -
AUAF is the country’s leading private, nonprofit university. Established in 2006, AUAF offers internationally supported degree programs in business, information technology, political science, and law. -
The Hubs deliver learner-centered, contextualized programming that is innovative in its use of technology to support participants in low-resource settings and builds local capacity to support implementation. The Hubs currently operate in Eastern Africa, the MENA region, and South Asia. -
Since its humble beginnings in 2017 as a liberal arts education institution in Burma (Myanmar), Parami University has committed itself to empowering youth to cultivate leadership in the service of humanity, civic engagement to communities, and relationship to the natural world. -
A group of former Smolny College faculty, with the support of Bard College and Bard College Berlin, established Smolny Beyond Borders in November 2022, a liberal arts initiative that continues and builds upon the legacy of Smolny, formerly a joint program of St. Petersburg State University and Bard College.
